Mario was one of less than a handful of video games that I actually played when I was a kid.

  1. Super Mario 3: Mario Forever’s earliest version was released in late 2008.
  2. As a franchise that’s been going strong since the ‘80s, there are literally hundreds of official and fan-made Mario games out there. Official ones would include Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Luigi’s Mansion, and Super Mario Galaxy.   5. Over 200 million units of games in the Mario series have been sold worldwide, making it by far the most successful video game franchise ever
  6. Mario Forever is currently only playable on Windows systems
