Facebook has greatly increased its lobbying budget

Facebook has tripled its budget spent lobbying during the second quarter of this year. Of 320,000 dollars, it rose to 960,000 dollars according to figures compulsés by our colleagues at Cnet.com. This increase is when Facebook was preparing its IPO. During the fourth quarter of 2011, the social network had already spent $ 650 000.

The lobbying has focused on a variety of subjects for whom Facebook is concerned: advertising, cyber security, patents, privacy, taxes, and of course employs issues its IPO. The other reason for this intense lobbying activity is related to the fact that the U.S. is currently in its presidential campaign.
